Building of waterway facilities at Dakshinanchal, Gorakhpur, to enable export : CM Yogi

Gorakhpur: Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, said on Sunday that a canal facility will be constructed in Gorakhpur’s Dakshinanchal to help farmers export their products and vegetables.

Adityanath was speaking at the Saansad Khel Mahakumbh’s concluding ceremony, which was held at GD Inter-College in Dighwa, Gorakhpur, and was sponsored by BJP Bansgaon MP Kamlesh Paswan. According to the chief minister, Dakshinanchal used to be the source of the majority of labour migration in the past.

People won’t need to go far, he said, since several enterprises would be established in the industrial townships of Dhuriapar, Gola, Sikriganj, and Khajani. For this objective, the government has budgeted Rs 200 crore for land purchase.

According to Adityanath, the state administration is dedicated to developing sports in accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s agenda and has the funding to do so. “In the state, resources are being made accessible to promote sports and inspire athletes. The state’s administration has implemented a number of initiatives to boost interest in sports, such as building playgrounds and establishing gyms in every town. At the district level, stadiums and small stadiums have been constructed “said he.

He said that since 1994, there has not been a rise in the cost of numerous things for sports hostels. The BJP administration enhanced this and now offers free AC III Class travel to athletes. At Meerut, work is moving along quickly on the first sports university in the state to be named after Major Dhyanchand.

According to Adityanath, it has been decided to provide cash incentives to state-affiliated athletes who place first or take home gold at the Olympics, Asian Games, or Commonwealth Games. According to him, the gold medalist in a singles Olympic event would get Rs 6 crore, followed by Rs 4 crore for silver, and Rs 2 crore for bronze.

According to him, athletes from the state who compete in the Olympics get Rs 10 lakh. Speaking of the “Saansad Khel Mahakumbh,” Adityanath said that each parliamentary district has produced between 2,000 and 2,500 new players.

This number would reach up to 2 lakh across the state’s 80 legislative districts, he said, adding that “Saansad Khel Mahakumbh” is evolving into a platform for developing players at the world level. At the conclusion of the competition, Adityanath, who saw the volleyball and wrestling finals, praised the athletes.
