Bury differences, India needs the Congress Party – Sonia Gandhi
New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi emphasized and said that it is time for Congress leaders to forget their differences and strengthen the party, because Congress is necessary for the country. The Acting President of Congress said this in the meeting of Congress Parliamentary Party in Parliament House. She said that the CWC meeting will be called soon.
Sonia said that BJP’s divisive policy is going on. Fighting on the ground is necessary. She asked the Congress leaders to raise their voice against inflation vigorously. She also targeted the government for the rising prices of essential commodities.
Sonia Gandhi said in the CPP meeting that unity in the party is paramount and I am ready to take every step to ensure it. Working on the suggestions received. Sonia Gandhi said that the revival of the Congress party is necessary not only for the party, but also for the democracy and society of the country. She also talked about organizing camps. Sonia Gandhi said that it is very important to organize camps, so that people can express their views and a road map can be prepared for running the party.
She said that four of our very senior and experienced colleagues have recently retired from Rajya Sabha. Each of them has contributed a lot during his tenure. I thank them all. I am sure all of them will be associated in some way or the other in public and political life and will continue to work to strengthen our party.
