Mirzapur: Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Durga Shankar Mishra reached Vindhya Darbar on the ninth date of Sharadiya Navratri and worshiped Goddess Vindhyavasni. He also inspected the Vindhya Corridor under construction, saw the details and directed to complete the construction work by the end of November.
The Chief Secretary, who came to Vindhyachal Dham with his wife, first did darshan and worship of Mother Vindhyavasini. Then circumambulated the temple and paid obeisance to the deities flag. After this, information was taken from District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan about the progress of construction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s dream project Vindhya Corridor.
District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan said that against the total approved cost of Vindhya Corridor under construction of Rs 40.19 crore, Rs 3668.76 lakh was released by the executing agency Rajkiya Nirman Nigam, against which Rs 2681.73 lakh was spent on various works. The physical progress of the corridor is 85 percent.
The District Magistrate said that the old VIP Road is 440 meters, the new VIP Road is 140 meters, Pakka Ghat Road is 135 meters, Kotwali Gali Road is 443 meters and four main gates are being built on all four roads. Also informed about the progress of strengthening the access roads connecting the roads leading to the temple and the progress of construction of the main gate. Also informed about the progress of construction of parkota and parikrama path.
In the construction work under Pravesh Plaza, information was given about the works like toilet block, frisking clock room, Yagyashala, VIP safe house, UG tank and pump room, facade work, construction of entry and exit gates, parkota terrace etc.
