Cabinet clears deck for Lekhpal recruitment process
Lucknow: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a decision in which the Lekhpal Service Manual has been approved. Now the remaining vacant 3243 posts will be recruited soon. According to the information, the Uttar Pradesh government held a cabinet meeting in which the Uttar Pradesh Lekhpal Service Fourth Amendment Rules 2022 has been approved. Now the right to recruit Lekhpal posts has been given to Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) in place of Revenue Council.
Till now 4500 vacant posts of Lekhpal have been merged in the original post 26,337 posts and now this number has become 30837. In April 2022, a total of 11,328 posts of Lekhpal were vacant. At present, the recruitment process is going on for 8,085 posts and the way for the remaining 3243 posts will be cleared soon.
CM Yogi Adityanath has decided in the cabinet meeting that the right to recruit Lekhpal posts will be handed over to the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission. In February 2015, 1308 posts of Revenue Inspector were created by abolishing 900 posts of Lekhpal and 408 posts of Amin (Surveyor) out of 27,237 posts. Now it has been decided that UPSSSC will have the right to recruit Lekhpal.
Now the commission will soon issue notification for the recruitment of 3243 vacant posts of Lekhpal. Recruitment for this can be done on the basis of written examination and medical test. The detailed notification will be released on the official website of the commission, upsssc.gov.in.
