Cardinal Carnation’s Annapurna Campaign illuminates 500 underprivileged lives on Diwali
This Diwali Cardinal Carnation Group along with Robin Hood Army lit hundreds of lamps at the homes of the needy
Lucknow: Cardinal Carnation Group (CCG) launched its monthly Annapurna food distribution campaign on Saturday. With this sixth campaign, CCG has completed the milestone of providing food to 500 needy children.
As a part of its Annapurna initiative, the team of CCG along with volunteers from Robinhood Army visited Robinhood Academy to distribute food among needy children and also to celebrate the auspicious festival of lights with them.
The children were given pre-packaged nutritious food, sweets and water bottles along with some crackers and diyas.
These children belong to poor families who can hardly arrange daily ration for themselves. So buying crackers or diyas is a far cry for them. The aim of this campaign was to ensure that no child remains deprived this festive season.
Abhay Srivastava of Cardinal Carnation Group said about the campaign, “Annapurna Drive is very important to us. Seeing the smiles on the faces of these children fills our hearts with immense happiness. No child should be stopped from celebrating the festival. This Diwali, we aim to make their lives bright by distributing nutritious food as well as festive items among the needy children. We hope to do more in the future.
