Celebrations of grandeur of Uttar Pradesh kickstart with pomp and show

Lucknow: On the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Day, a three-day function was started at Avadh Shilp Gram Shaheed Path  under the chairmanship of Governor Anandiben Patel. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi were present as chief guests in this joint event of Culture Department, Tourism Department, Information and Public Relations Department and District Administration.  Khadi Village Industries Minister Rakesh Sachan, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Girishchandra Yadav and Chief Secretary and key officers of the departments were present. Players and craftsmen were also rewarded on this occasion.

In the evening, Kanhaiyalal Mittal of Chandigarh made the atmosphere full of music with his songs. The evening of Bhojpuri songs by Dineshlal Nirhua along with cultural presentations from the guest states will be special on Wednesday, the second day of the ceremony. Similarly, on the last day there will be a singing performance by Bollywood fame Padma Kailash Kher.

In the function of the first day, beautiful glimpses of folk dances of different states and regions of the country were seen. The presentations of salty peacock dance of Braj region, Rai of Bundelkhand and Karma dance of Vindhya region blossomed on the stage. On the first day, Vikas Boukhal of Barabanki, Awadhi, Poonam Sharma of Aligarh, Braj, Arjun Singh Chand of Jhansi, Bundeli, Biharilal Ambar of Jaunpur, Bhojpuri, Oj poet of Meerut, Dr. Gajendra Solanki of Delhi recited melodious poetry in Hindi along with Khadi Boli by Hariom Panwar.

Artists of Rising Malang Group enthralled the audience by reciting devotional music compositions of Sant Kabir, Raidas and Gorakh under Tridhara. Artists from Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh showcased their unique folk dances at the venue. Kanhaiyalal Mittal, who came from Chandigarh and brought Ram, enthralled the people with enthusiastic performances with patriotic songs.

Integrated dashboard and portal for monitoring cow-based natural farming was inaugurated by the Agriculture Department at the function. Along with this, six beneficial schemes of MSME were made online here. Apart from this, the website of Notary Management System was also launched.

On this occasion, Jyoti Shukla, Handball, Neha Kashyap, Wushu, Taruna Sharma, Judo were given Rani Lakshmibai Award as outstanding players. Along with these, Mohit Yadav Handball, Rahul Singh and Mohammad Arif Hockey, Janardan Singh Wrestling, Radheshyam Singh Athletics, SuhasLY Badminton, Vivek Chikara Archery and Dipendra Singh Shooting were awarded with Laxman Award.

Tomorrow at the ceremony

Along with cultural presentations, there will be seminars tomorrow on International Year of Millets, on Millets, on MSME and Khadi, on One Trillion Economy and on Agro-Rural and Eco-tourism. Along with this, short films based on new tourism policy and forts of Bundelkhand will be screened.
