Lucknow: In compliance with the instructions of Dayashankar Singh, Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) of Uttar Pradesh, a special campaign against unauthorized and overloaded vehicles was carried out by the enforcement team in Lucknow zone from the night of April 26, 2023 to 07:00 am on April 27, 2023. Under the campaign, a total of 175 vehicles were challaned and 97 vehicles were stopped for overloading in the Lucknow zone.
Giving this information, Additional Transport Commissioner/Deputy Transport Commissioner Zone Lucknow Nirmal Prasad said that the enforcement team was alerted to prevent overloading. The above action has been taken by the enforcement team by running a special campaign tonight. He informed that 82 overloaded vehicles were challaned and 33 were stopped in Lucknow division.
Similarly, in Ayodhya division also, 59 vehicles were challaned and 39 vehicles stopped under overloading by the enforcement team, 23 vehicles were challaned and 16 vehicles were stopped in Devipatan division, 11 vehicles were challaned and 09 vehicles were stopped in Basti division. Went.
The Additional Transport Commissioner said that as per the instructions of the Transport Minister, further investigation will be done by the enforcement team against overloading and unauthorized operations. Along with this, the transport department will continue to conduct regular inspection campaigns so that proper restrictions can be imposed on overloading and unauthorized operations.
