Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra reviews preparations for Ayushman Bhav campaign
Lucknow: In his address, the Chief Secretary said that “Ayushman Bhava” campaign is going to start from September 17 to achieve comprehensive coverage of the health scheme. The inauguration of the campaign is proposed by the President on 13 September. This campaign should be widely publicized so that the benefits of health facilities can be extended to every person.
He said that for the successful organization of the campaign, as per the guidelines of the Government of India, training of ASHAs should be ensured under the Ayushman Bhava campaign till September 16, 2023. During the campaign, 100% distribution of Ayushman cards should be ensured to all the remaining eligible beneficiaries under the PM-JAY scheme. No eligible beneficiary should be left out.
He said that Ayushman Mela should provide comprehensive primary health care services with screening, medicines and diagnostics, tele-consultation with specialists and prompt diagnosis through appropriate referrals etc.
The Chief Secretary said that cleanliness campaign should be conducted in all the district hospitals, CHCs and wellness centers of Uttar Pradesh. All district hospitals in urban and rural areas should be shown clean, green and beautiful. On blood donation camp, he said that children should be given information about blood donation in schools. More and more people should be motivated to donate blood.
It is noteworthy that under the Ayushman Bhava campaign, Seva Pakhwada will be organized from September 17, 2023 to October 2, 2023, in which various activities will be organized under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, blood donation camp, resolution of organ donation.
Under Ayushman Aapke Dwar 3.0, distribution of Ayushman cards, Ayushman fair, Ayushman Sabha will be organized from 17th September. Under Ayushman Mela, a health fair will be organized every Saturday at the Health and Wellness Center. Apart from this, Ayushman Mela will be organized by medical colleges every Sunday in rotation at every CHC, PHC (rural and urban). Ayushman Sabha will be organized on 02 October 2023 under the leadership of VHSNC/Urban Local Body at a village/ward level to increase awareness about various health schemes and services.
Principal Secretary Medical and Health Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, Secretary Medical and Health Ranjan Kumar, Director General Medical Education and Training Kinjal Singh and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
