Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra unveils magazine ‘Update’ of UP IAS Association
Lucknow: In his address, the U.P. Chief Secretary said that as IAS officers, we have an important role to play in shaping the future of our state. After joining the Indian Administrative Service, there is an opportunity to work in every field. We should discharge this responsibility with integrity and impartiality. Our hard work and dedication will take our state on a rapid growth path to achieve 1 trillion dollar economy in 5 years.
He said that IAS officers of UP cadre have been at the forefront of governance and administration. Our efforts were rewarded recently with the signing of MoUs worth about 35 lakh crores for investment by investors from within the country and abroad. The officers have to work harder to get the MoU on the ground.
He said that writing is an art, due to continuous busyness in government service, the habit of writing decreases in the officers. Officers should develop the habit of writing. He said that sports competitions and cultural programs should be organized every two-three months, in which IAS officers along with their family members also participate. This will give them an opportunity to compete and showcase their hidden talent.
Association’s chairman Mahesh Kumar Gupta, chief editor of the magazine Rajneesh Dubey, association’s secretary Ranjan Kumar also expressed their views in the program and in the end chief secretary tourism Mukesh Meshram thanked.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture Devesh Chaturvedi, Principal Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijat, Principal Secretary Social Welfare Dr. Hari Om, Housing Commissioner Ranveer Prasad, District Magistrate Lucknow Suryapal Gangwar and various office bearers and members of the association were also present.
