Children played Holi at Mount Berry Convent School, Abir Gulal added to festivities
Lucknow: The festival of Holi was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at Mount Berry Convent School, Kalyanpur, Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion, the tiny tots congratulated each other on Holi by applying colour and abir gulaal. On behalf of the school management, all children were distributed sweets along with colours and pichkari, due to which their was a sense of elation on the faces of all the children.
Eminent gynecologists Dr. Sana Shahid, Syed Mohammad Rashid and Dr. Farah Abbas attended the program as chief guests. Principal Dr. Uzma Shahid and Vice Principal Geeta Tripathi honored the chief guest with a bouquet. The program was started by lighting the lamp in front of the idol of Maa Saraswati. Children performed group dance on songs like Rang Barse, Badri Ki Dulhania and Balam Pichkari.
Apart from this, many lovely songs were presented by the children. The cultural programmes were well appreciated by the parents. The teachers wished the children a very happy Holi while instructing them not to play Holi with chemical colours.
Principal Dr. Uzma Shahid appealed to everyone to celebrate Holi with peace and harmony. Vice Principal Geeta Tripathi said that such activities are necessary for the all round development of the children. They provide an opportunity to develop the innate qualities of the children.
Children got a platform where they got to learn something new.
Senior Incharge Ittefaq Ahmed Khan, Iffat, Incharge Raman Yadav, Seema Siddiqui, Vibha Vajpayee, Deepika Rautela, Navnita Arya, Seema Chauhan, Kamran Khan, Shimaila Akhtar, Rukhsar Ansari, Habsa, Jagruti Singh, Rabina Yadav were behind making the program a success.
