City artist makes presence felt overseas
Lucknow: The art work of young artist and curator Bhupendra Kumar Asthana from the capital of Uttar Pradesh has once again been displayed in the International Art Exhibition in South Korea. Currently this exhibition (Nature Art Cube Exhibition) is running as ‘Moving Nature Art’ at Yeonho Culture Center located in Uljin, South Korea.
Bhupendra had participated by sending this work in the international exhibition Geumgang Cube Nature Art Biennale – 2022. This artwork made in paper mache was greatly liked. For this reason, this artwork has been selected and displayed for the third time till now. This time this artwork “Architectural structure – 2022)” has been displayed among other artists along with 231 artworks of 224 international artists from 43 countries.
The same artwork has been selected among the previous Geumgang Nature Art Biennale and now among the 2023 Prebiennale artworks. This exhibition is on from 31 August to 27 September 2023. It may be noted that this artwork had been selected for exhibition for the first time in June 2022, for the second time in September 2022 and now for the third time.
Speaking to the media, Bhupendra Kumar Asthana said the work displayed in this exhibition is a papier-mâché work made of paper pulp, which is in the form of an architectural structure. The title of this work is also Architectural Structure which is in the dimensions of 11x11x11 centimeters.
