CM Yogi inspects ongoing construction works at Maa Shakumbhari Vishwavidyalaya Punwarka

Lucknow:  Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Saharanpur and Muzaffarnagar districts. During this, he paid obeisance at the Shiv Gorakhnath temple located in Tulsipur village, Khatauli, Muzaffarnagar. Earlier, CM reached to inspect the under-construction Maa Shakumbhari Devi University in Saharanpur district. While inspecting the construction works here, the Chief Minister gave directions to the district officials. He had brief talks with the public representatives.

CM took all the information about construction progress

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached Saharanpur, inspected the ongoing construction works at Maa Shakumbhari Vishwavidyalaya Punwarka during his district tour and CM Yogi’s one-day visit to Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur.

CM reached Shiv Gorakhnath temple in Khatauli of Muzaffarnagar

Had a meeting with the officers in the under-construction premises itself. During the inspection, he inquired about the updated status of Admin Block, Library Block, Facility Center, Canteen, Girls Hostel Block, Boys Hostel Block, VC Residence, Sub Station, Police Chowki, Health Center, Boundary Wall etc. He observed the model of the university under construction and took all the information about the progress of the construction.

Instructions given to complete external work by July 15

While inspecting the progress in the construction works of the university, the Chief Minister expressed his displeasure over the slow progress of the construction work and directed the executive body to complete the construction work expeditiously in a quality manner as per the prescribed standards. He directed the concerned firm to complete the construction of all the external works including Admin Block, Administration Block, VC House, Boundary Wall, Road, Sewer and Road by July 15, which is a priority task. He instructed that the work should be done expeditiously by deputing additional labour. In case of no progress in the work, the District Magistrate was asked to take strict action against the contractor and blacklist the firm.

Any kind of negligence in construction work is not acceptable.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked the Vice-Chancellor of the university to start postgraduate classes in the university from the next session. He said that no problem of finance will be allowed to come. He directed the District Magistrate to monitor the ongoing development schemes and public hearing cases in the district on priority in a time-bound manner. He said that the university will contribute better in the upgradation of Indian culture and civilization through higher education, so any kind of negligence in the construction work will not be acceptable. During the on-site inspection of the university, he said that the state government is sensitive towards the bright future and education of the youth.

During the inspection, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Industrial Development Jaswant Saini, Minister of State for Public Works Brajesh Singh, MLA Nakud Mukesh Chowdhary, MLA Rampur Maniharan Devendra Nim, MLA Gangoh Kirat Singh, MLA Nagar Rajeev Gumber, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Lokesh M, Vice Chancellor Professor Hriday Shankar Singh , District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police and PWD officers were present.

CM paid obeisance at Shiv Gorakhnath temple

The Chief Minister then left for Muzaffarnagar, where he offered obeisance at the Shiv Gorakhnath temple premises in Khatauli area and performed havan-pujan. This was a personal visit of the Chief Minister. During this, Union Minister of State Dr. Sanjeev Balyan, former MP Sohanveer Singh, MLC Vandana Verma, Municipal President Meenakshi Swaroop welcomed CM Yogi on the helipad.
