CM Yogi lays out roadmap for Global Investors Summit-2023 (GIC-23) in February next year

Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to hold the Global Investors Summit-2023 (GIC-23) in February next year. It will be organized according to the intention of CM Yogi to take the economy of UP to one trillion dollars. Many countries of the world will be invited to this summit and for this road shows will be organized in these 18 countries on behalf of the government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak are likely to lead the roadshow.

Investor summit will be held from February 10 to 12

The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday finalized the road map for the Global Investors Summit-2023 (GIC-23), which will now be held in Lucknow from February 10 to 12, 2023. The target of attracting investment of Rs 10 lakh crore has already been set in the Global Investors Summit. The state government had earlier proposed the summit in January 2023. It has decided to organize international road shows in about 18 countries ahead of the Global Investors Summit.

Decision taken in the meeting of GoM under the chairmanship of CM

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who presided over a high-level meeting at the summit, said that the preparation for GIS-2023 should be done on a war footing. He said that GIS-2023 will be a historic event and will give flight to the aspirations of New India and New Uttar Pradesh. The state government has received proposals from Singapore, France, UK and Mauritius to be the partner countries for the summit.

Different experts will be included in the Group of Ministers

Yogi Adityanath said that teams of experts should be included in the Group of Ministers visiting countries with investment potential in the same sector. He said that this should be kept in mind while deciding the route for the road show. Demanding the formation of Group of Ministers at the earliest, he said that the state government should also conduct road shows in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai and necessary arrangements should be made in this regard.

Efforts to bring investment in UP

Observing that GIS-2023 will be a platform for branding of Uttar Pradesh, he said that the state government should take cooperation of industry lobby groups like FICCI and CII. He said that before GIS-2023, policies of 30 sectors should be prepared and the land bank should be expanded further so that investors do not face any problem.
