Varanasi: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. He took stock of the work of Kashi Vishwanath Dham under construction by doing Shodashopchar worship of Baba. When CM Yogi went towards the western entrance through Nandi Hall, he carefully observed the grand entrance being built there. He was mesmerized by the height of the entrance and its grandeur.
He said that the entrance gate would become the biggest center of attraction of the Dham. During this, Divisional Commissioner Deepak Agrawal informed the Chief Minister that about 75 percent work of the Dham has been completed. Finishing work is in final stage. Charitable Affairs Minister Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari informed that the work on the entrance gates of the temple complex is now going to be completed.
At the same time, the CM told the Chief Executive Officer of the temple, Sunil Kumar Verma, that the construction work should be done keeping in mind the facilities and safety of the devotees.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took information about the development works in the circuit house located in the court along with many big officials including the Divisional Commissioner and DM. He said that at present 117 major projects worth Rs 8871.27 crore are going on in the city. Fourlane’s net has been set in Kashi.
Every area of the city was beautified. However, he has given strict instructions to make the roads of Varanasi pothole-free before Diwali. He said that the departments should make a plan after surveying their respective roads. Several departments of the district have prepared an action plan for 900 km of patch work on 542 roads. On which Rs 17 crore 68 lakh will be spent.
On dengue, intensify fever tracking
On the increasing case of dengue, the Chief Minister said that the work of fever tracking should be done expeditiously. Carry out intensive monitoring from city to village and awareness programs for special sanitation work, testing, treatment, prevention for control of other infectious diseases.
He said that spraying and fogging is being done in all 694 gram panchayats of the district with 712 spray machines and 120 fogging machines. Cleaning and drain cleaning is being done near the hand pump. 694 monitoring committees are functional in the village. So far 151679 medical kits have been distributed to the needy. Financial assistance was given to 137723 people including migrants, laborers in Kashi. So far, 2 lakh 90 thousand 437 golden cards have been made under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
At the same time, 66851 people have been treated in Ayushman Bharat. In fever tracking, 75050 tests were conducted since July. No case of Chikungunya, Kala-azar, JE or AES was found in Banaras in the district. 124 confirmed cases of dengue were found which were treated. So far, 21,78000 people have been vaccinated in the district. The Special Sanitation Program is being run continuously since June. Extensive fogging, entry larva spray, bleaching spray, solid waste management, drain cleaning etc. are being done on a war footing in the city and village.
Reduced water damage by better management of floods
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that better management has been done on floods in the state. It has reduced water damage. He has directed to keep an eye on Ganga water level in Varanasi and take necessary action. The general public felt good with the flood control in Kashi and the help reached to the affected people. The Chief Minister asked the officials to make efforts to attract more tourists. Find a solution by communicating with the public on how tourists can be made to feel pleasant in Kashi.
