CM Yogi orders a survey to ascertain gravity of drought situation in the state

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given directions for a survey of all the districts of the state to assess the drought situation. Taking cognizance of the drought situation, the Chief Minister directed that 75 teams should be deployed in all 75 districts for survey work. All the district magistrates should form teams in the respective districts. An Additional District Magistrate, District Agriculture Officer, District Horticulture Officer and a Tehsil level officer of the district should be included in the team.

The report of the survey should be submitted by all the district magistrates in a week. In case of delay or delay in this work, the accountability of the District Magistrate will be fixed.

Monsoon situation in the state was reviewed in a high level meeting

Chief Minister reviewed the monsoon situation in the state in a high-level meeting convened at his official residence. During the review, he said that 62 districts of the state have received below average rainfall, in these circumstances it is necessary to provide relief to the farmers by giving additional help.

Therefore, the recovery of land revenue and irrigation from state tube wells should be postponed till further orders in the affected districts. Along with this, the electricity connection of the tubewells of the farmers should also not be cut. Directed Irrigation Department to increase availability of water in canals and Electricity Department to increase power supply in rural areas.

In this high-level meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also directed the officials to provide seeds of pulses, oilseeds and vegetables to the farmers. In this sequence, the Irrigation Department was directed to maintain the availability of water in the canals and the Electricity Department to increase the power supply in rural areas.
