CM Yogi plans to bring back the glory days of Kanpur
Lucknow: There was a time when Kanpur was called the Manchester of East, but over a period of time it was seen fading into oblivion. In a bid to restore the pristine grandeur of the Industrial city, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a special plan to make this city, which has lost its image over time, once again shine in the country and the world. CM Yogi Adityanath has said that we will take Kanpur even beyond its ancient glory.
The Chief Minister said that we are fully concerned about Kanpur. We are also working in this direction. An airport has started there and a greenfield expressway is going to be built to connect it to Lucknow. After its construction, Kanpur can be reached in 45 minutes. CM Yogi said that the metro is running there.
CM Yogi said that let the Defense Corridor gain momentum, then we will see how fast the change takes place in Kanpur. Kanpur is going to have maximum participation in the Defense Corridor. We cannot let that city be left behind. We have our full attention on that.
On the question of improvement in the condition of the farmers due to the emphasis on coarse grains by the Central Government, the Chief Minister said that there will be an absolute improvement. Bundelkhand will be greatly benefited. Less water will be used and the prices of the produce will also be higher. It is my firm belief that the incentive schemes that we are going to bring for coarse grains will prove to be very beneficial for the farmers.
