CM Yogi recalls the grand contribution of Keshari Nath Tripathi to Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath spoke at length about ex Governor, former speaker and former member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Keshari Nath Tripathi.
Expressing condolences on his death, he has expressed condolences to his family members. Expressing his views on the condolence motion presented in the Vidhan Sabha today, he said that the life of a public servant as a public representative is filled with struggle.
He said one has to pass the acid test at every step. Many people who have they have vision and talent, they hesitate to enter political life.
The Chief Minister said that Keshari Nath Tripathi passed away on January 08, he died in 2023 at the age of 88. He did important service to the country and the state.
He said Keshari Nath Tripathi was multifaceted, soft spoken and a popular leader. He started his early life as an advocate. He recalled him as a skilled politician, an expert in law and constitutional affairs and a parliamentary person.
CM Yogi said he was well versed in the processes. He had a long experience in the politics of Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister said for the first time in the year 1977, he won on the Janata Party ticket. He was an elected Member of Legislative Assembly from Jhansi, Prayagraj. After this year 1989, in 1991, 1993, 1996 and 2002, he was elected on the ticket of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Keshri Nath Tripathi, was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly from Prayagraj.
The Chief Minister said that Keshari Nath Tripathi as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly conducted the house with dignity and success. He also took important decisions from the Chair. From 2014 to July 2019, he held the post of Governor of West Bengal. Additional charge of the states of Bihar, Meghalaya and Mizoram was also assigned.
He was also a distinguished jurist. As Senior Advocate in Allahabad High Court he worked as the President of the Bar Association.
The Chief Minister said that apart from politics he took deep interest in constitutional subjects, there was also a deep interest in the literary field. CM Yogi said he did important work for the upgradation of language and literature. He wrote many poems. And composed Doha collections. He worked in field of Hindi language and literature. He is best remembered for excellent work deocrated with ‘Hindi Garima Samman’, ‘Acharya Mahavir Prasad Dwivedi’, ‘Sahitya Vachaspati’, ‘Bageshwari’, ‘Kavya Kaustubh Samman’ and many others.
He was the working president of Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan. He has participated in many educational, literary events.
His works in literature, politics and social fields including constitutional subjects got him recognitions like ‘Chanakya’, ‘Bharat Gaurav’, ‘Uttar Pradesh Ratna’ and ‘Vikas Purush’ for contribution honored with titles.
The Chief Minister said that Rahul Prakash Kol’s death is sad for all of us. He was elected to this house in his short life. He remained active in politics since his student life. He was very polite, well behaved and dedicated public leader. of your assembly constituency. Along with this, for the development of the entire district and the poor, deprived and forest-dwelling areas.
With the death of Prakash Kol, the state has lost a young leader and skilled politician. His death is an irreparable loss to the society said CM Yogi.
