Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is slated to do an inspection of the construction work of Purvanchal Expressway today. Among the places he will inspect are Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Sultanpur, Ayodhya and Lucknow. CM Yogi plans to throw open the expressway this year.
The CM will be conducting an aerial survey and undertake terrestrial inspection. He will later do a meeting with officials regarding the expressways in these districts. He will go directly from Varanasi to Ghazipur. The Purvanchal Expressway is the Chief Minister’s dream project of about Rs 22494.66 crore. Its length is 340.824 km and it could be extended to eight lanes in future.
Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Ambedkarnagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur will benefit from this project.Ballia neing linked is also on the cards. The project will help in bridging the gap between U.P. and Bihar. Once all projects like CM Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Gorakhpur-Azamgarh Link Expressway, Ganga Expressway and Defense Corridor are realized the state it is expected will see change.
