Gorakhpur: To save children up to five years of age from polio in Uttar Pradesh, the Pulse Polio campaign is going to start from Sunday. This week-long campaign will be launched by the caretaker Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath from Gorakhpur. A total of 3.40 crore children up to the age of five years will be administered pulse polio drops. 1.10 lakh booths have been set up to give two drops of life to the children. State Immunization Officer Dr. Ajay Ghai informed that all necessary preparations have been completed for the campaign.
From Monday, door-to-door teams would be sent to administer polio drops to the children. All the parents have been appealed to give pulse polio drops to their children to protect them from polio. Instructions have been given to all the districts that the campaign should be run in a better way and there should be no negligence.
