CM YOGI WELCOMES HOCKEY WORLD CUP TROPHY
Lucknow: Hockey occupies the highest place in India’s Olympic history. India has so far won a total of 12 medals including 8 gold medals in hockey. The Men’s Hockey World Cup tournament is starting from January 13, 2023 in Odisha. Before this the trophy is on its countrywide tour.
In this episode, after traveling from Ranchi, this trophy reached Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi Adityanath welcomed the trophy. On this occasion, he said that U.P. is the best for hockey. He said that I congratulate all the hockey players on this occasion. He also expressed happiness over the growing trend towards sports in the country.
The trophy was welcomed at many places in Lucknow. Along with this, a photo session was organized at Shaheed Smarak Park. Sports Director RP Singh was also present in this programme. After 47 years in the capital Lucknow, the trophy of the Hockey World Cup is spreading a lot of enthusiasm among the people.
