CMD NCL Shri Bhola Singh selected for IIT Kharagpur’s Distinguished Alumni Award 2023

Singrauli:  Bhola Singh, CMD of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna company of the Government of India, has been selected for the Distinguished Alumni Award 2023 of IIT Kharagpur.
He will be given this honor for his professional achievements and contribution to the coal industry of his country. Shri Singh received his B.Tech (Hons) in Mining Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur in 1987. Every year under the auspices of IIT Kharagpur, the Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) is given to the alumni of the institute for their professional achievements and various contributions.
Shri Bhola Singh has over 35 years of rich experience in reputed public and private sector organizations of the country. Before taking over as CMD of NCL, he was working as Director (Technical) in Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Ranchi.
Due to the excellent leadership of Shri Bhola Singh, NCL is performing well on all parameters like coal production, coal dispatch and overburden removal, and sustainable mining. Under his leadership, NCL has achieved the targets ahead of time in the last financial year 2022-23. Were .
It is noteworthy that  Bhola Singh was awarded the National Mine Safety Award by the Honorable President of India in 2017. He has also written many technical papers on blasting and other subjects in national and international level journals.
