Colourful procession marks Ram Navami festivities in the city
Lucknow: On the occasion of Ram Navami under the aegis of Shri Ram Janmotsav Samiti, a grand procession of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram was organized at Indira Nagar.
Maryada Purushottam Shri Raja Ramchandra ji did a city tour riding in a carriage of 7 horses. In the procession, live tableaux came out by boys and girls, taking the form of various deities. Elephants, horses, camels also participated in the procession.
Jitendra Bajrangi, a devotee of Prayagraj, dressed as Hanuman, danced to the tunes of Ram and remained the center of attraction for the devotees.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma, Adarsh Vyapar Mandal State President Sanjay Gupta, Former DGP Vikram Singh, BJP City President Mukesh Sharma participated in the procession and offered prayers to God. The procession was welcomed from place to place by traders, residents of the area and devotees.
Like every year on the occasion of Ram Navami, under the aegis of Shri Ram Janmotsav Samiti, a grand procession of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram was taken out from the convention center near Indira Nagar Nagar A Block, Patron of Shri Ram Janmotsav Samiti and State President of Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal, Sanjay Gupta and President of Shri Ram Janmotsav Samiti and State General Secretary of Adarsh Vyapar Mandal Shashikant Sharma were present.
The Shobha Yatra ended at its place of origin crossing Lekhraj Market, Faizabad Road, Maruti Puram, Bhootnath Market, Shalimar Square, Meena Market.
Kavindra Malhotra and Deepak Shrikhande, senior vice-presidents of Shri Ram Janmotsav Samiti, said that a Bhandara was also organized on this occasion and the procession was welcomed by traders, office bearers of Adarsh Vyapar Mandal and citizens and devotees at various places.
The live tableau of the deities also participated and many bands also participated in the procession and the devotee of Prayagraj, Shri Jitendra Bajrangi, dancing on the tune of Ram, dressed as Hanuman, remained the center of attraction of the procession throughout the route and Shri Ram Chand ji hundreds of people participated in the procession.
