It was a riot of colours at the Institute for Career Studies International Painting Competition & Exhibition 2020, when a bevy of artists converged at the venue. It was a fun filled time, despite challenges of the pandemic and physical distancing norms in place. Several persons of note were part of the event. The winning candidates adjudged by the panel were Satyam Sharma from Varanasi at number 1, Manan Khetan from Varanasi at number 2 and Suhani at 3rd position from Kanpur. Most visitors who came said that the creations depicted compassion, beauty of nature, hope and freedom. However, there were also some artworks that showcased the anxiety that the participating students or the people they know might have experienced during the pandemic. They now are only forward looking with things turning out to be way better. Apart from Dr Amrita Dass (Founder-Director ICS) were Ruth Leano (Chief Field Officer, UNICEF), Jayant Krishna (Group Chief Executive Officer of the UK-India Business Council) and Ingella Gujral (graphic designer & LU guest faculty). Others part of the distinguished presence were Kavita Dass (ICS Director) and Upasana Kapoor (Head of Relationship, ICS).
