Competitive books keep visitors at Lucknow book Fair glued, peppered with cultural activities

Lucknow: In an era of cut throat competition, the competition for entry into educational institutions is very high. The sureshot way of actually cracking these exams is through reading informative books.

The Lucknow Book Fair proves to be one such place where one is exposed to a wide range of publications cutting across subjects.  It has a number of books which are surely going to help people succeed in similar examinations.

The fair has a minimum 10 percent discount on books and assures free entry. It will continue here till 14 March. A teacher at the Book fair, Nitu says the questions of general knowledge have changed a lot in competitive examinations, hence a change in the style of reasoning.

One such stall is the Oswal Gurukul’s stall which offers books on various competitive exams like NEET, JEE and objective question books in English, History, Geography, Economics, General Science and Guide books in all subjects from ninth to twelfth.

Books related to history, art culture, personalities, speeches and lectures at the publishing department stall are useful for competitive examinations.

Sultanchand’s stall has books on economy, investment, management, business, mathematics etc. Material is also available on CD and PenDrive. Other stalls also have books useful for competitive examinations.

Director Akarsh Chandel says various awareness programs are also going on in the fair. In addition to the onstage activities, online activities are also going on in conjunction with Jyoti Kiran Ratan.

In the entire eye checkup camp of the fair’s Optikumbh, people are being tested with state-of-the-art machines like auto reflectometer, lensometer and slit lamp, along with giving various information of eye examination.

On Tuesday, the first session of the fair was named after the writer Anuradha Goyal. Athlete Anamika Vats said in her statement that try constantly and do not let things dominate your mind. At the ongoing Vishwam Mahotsav, the Nari Shiksha Niketan PG College presented a street play against drug and female atrocities in combination with Tabassum Khan by the students of Amiruddaula Islamia degree college.

Youth from Krishnadevi Girls College and School of Management and Sciences presented programs.

Critic Virendra Yadav spoke of the current literary scene in the writer’s program, while the famous story writer novelist Akhilesh was among the book lovers for his works. Alok Paradkar moderated the session efficiently. Poetry works on topical subjects came to the fore in the Poetry session by Praharsha Foundation.

The associates of Lucknow Book Fair 2021 are Prasar Bharati-Akashvani, RadioCity, Motilal Memorial Society, Vijay Studio, Organic India, Kiran Foundation, Join Hands Foundation, Origins, Safe Express, Vishwam Foundation, Jakson, Samagra, Star Technologies, Chocamore.
