Complete disarray at centres as vaccines go off shelves

 

 

Lucknow: There has been a massive shortfall in vaccines in the state of Uttar Pradesh, where free vaccination was announced for all categories of people, including 18 to 44 years.

In what is rather surprising that till now, people coming to the counter are having to return empty-handed. Many are now having to close their centre as there is no work.

In UP, more than 50 percent of the centers have been closed within the last four days. This is proved in data released by the Central Government on information of COVID and the actual state of all the states.

Reportedly till four days ago there were 5842 centers in the entire state. It had 5642 government and 200 private labs. Where the facility of COVID Vaccination was made available. By May 9, this center has come down to 2870.

In this, vaccines are being provided on 2758 government centers and 112 private centers. 2942 centers have come down. It has 2884 government and 120 private centers.

On Saturday, there were many such cases in the capital Lucknow, in which there was no vaccine and the message of vaccination has come on the mobile of the person concerned. Even when some people reached the center, it was found locked.
