Completion of Ash-craft training to Dodhar’s displaced women group under Corporate Social Responsibility

Bijpur: The CSR and EMG department of NTPC Rihand station concluded the program of training the displaced women of Dodhar gram sabha near the project to make them self-reliant, in Bal Bhawan. Through this training, the self-help group of displaced women of Dodhar will be able to get a source of income.
The program was inaugurated by Krishna Chattopadhyay, president of Vartika Mahila Mandal Samiti, a women’s voluntary organization, in a traditional manner along with other co-guests. To mark the beginning of this new initiative of NTPC, pots made of ashes were given as tokens to the office bearers of Vartika Mahila Mandal by the women of Self Help Group. This training lasted for 1 week and in this training, various types of artefacts were taught from fly ash.
In the sequel of the program, Additional General Manager (Human Resource) Zakir Khan said that through this initiative the CSR and EMG department has once again taken a step forward in the direction of women empowerment. Thereafter, Amit Dhiman, Senior Manager (EMG) in his address said that this special initiative of providing skill development training to these rural women will not only help in their development but will also be a step towards better environment.
The program was mainly attended by Additional General Manager (HR) Zakir Khan, Senior Manager (EMG), Amit Dhiman, members of Vartika Mahila Mandal Anita Mediratta, Satyavardhini, Vinita Sinha and Rupa Singha Roy and women of SHGs. The program was coordinated by Mokshada Jogi, Executive (Corporate Social Responsibility).
