Confidence will help us tide past the threat perception against India – Devon Conway

New Delhi: New Zealand opener Devon Conway has said his team is confident of the experience of its senior players to deal with the ‘threat’ of the in-form Indian team in the World Cup semi-final here . New Zealand finished fourth in the points table after the league round of 45 matches. He has a good record in the knockouts of ICC tournaments against India. The New Zealand team defeated India in the 2019 World Cup semi-finals and 2021 World Test Championship final.

“We all know how dangerous the Indian team is,” Conway said in a video released by New Zealand Cricket. He is in rhythm and very strong. He said, but we are ready for this challenge. It will be exciting to play against the hosts in the semi-finals. We know it is dangerous but we are also prepared. Conway said, this is another special opportunity for us. We have very experienced players who have faced these situations before. We trust his experience.

Our target is to play the World Cup final and we are one win away from that. We will keep playing good cricket. New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra is among the top three batsmen who have scored the most runs in this World Cup.

So far he has scored 565 runs including three centuries and two half-centuries. Conway said, this has been a fantastic World Cup for Rachin. We all know what a good player he is. This kind of performance in the World Cup is excellent.
