Consumer complaint redressal should be top priority – AK Sharma

Barabanki: On the second day of Vidyut Samadhan week,  AK Sharma conducted surprise inspection of Superintending Engineer Electricity Distribution Division office of Barabanki district and 33/11 KV Sub-centre, Badel and 33/11 KV Sub-centre, JP Nagar.

Energy Minister talked to know the truth on their mobile number to solve the problems of the consumers registered in the complaint register. Consumer complaints should be heard seriously and resolved on the spot in Vidyut Samadhan Week, no negligence and laxity of any kind should be tolerated in this.

According to the intention of the state government, those who obstruct the works of public interest will not be spared.

More and more publicity should be done for maximum consumer benefit of Vidyut Samadhan Week Camp.
The Energy Minister also appealed to all the consumers to get their electricity related problems resolved at their respective sub-centres at the earliest, so that they do not have to visit the power offices again and again in the coming time.

The Energy Minister congratulated  all the officers/employees of the Electricity Department for doing this noble work of public interest with full dedication.

He checked the complaint register, log book, load panel, transformer and cleanliness of the premises etc. On being asked by the Energy Minister, Superintending Engineer  AH Khan said that a total of 10 complaints were received in today’s resolution camp at Badel, which have been resolved on the spot. Yesterday, on September 12, a total of 279 complaints were received in the entire district. which have been completely disposed of. Similarly, JP Nagar sub-centre SDO Dinesh Kumar said that 07 complaints were received in this sub-centre, which have been resolved on the spot. In today’s complaints, most of the complaints related to electricity bill, lack of meter reading, shabby pole, more electricity bill coming, more running of meter, bill revision, meter installation, bill uploading etc.
Shri AK Sharma talked about the problems of the consumers registered in the complaint register and to know the truth on their mobile numbers. In which the minister spoke on the registered number of Ram Soot and Ram Sanehi who had complained about the meter installation and found out whether the meter was installed or not.

In which the consumers told that they got the meter installed. Similarly, Rajbali who had filed a complaint for meter bill revision. On talking to his mobile number, the minister came to know that his complaint has been resolved. Similarly, the Minister also talked to the complainant Kamta Prasad and Poornima of the sub-centre located in JP Nagar about their problem solution on their mobile number, in which the consumers told that our problem of changing the meter and billing has been resolved.

Energy Minister  AK Sharma has given strict instructions to the officials of the Electricity Department to listen seriously to the complaints of consumers during the ‘Vidyut Samadhan Saptah’ being run at 33/11 KV substations from 12 to 19 September, 2022. To be disposed of on the spot. Any negligence or laxity in this will not be tolerated. He said that as per the intention of the State Government, those who obstruct the works of public interest would not be spared. Said that in such serious cases, today Madi Sipah of Mau district, Ashok Kumar posted at Ghosi sub-centre and TG-2 Mr. Arun Kumar posted at sub-centre, Bangarmau of Unnao district have been suspended with immediate effect.

AK Sharma has directed all the officers of the Electricity Department that maximum number of consumers should take advantage of the Vidyut Samadhan Week camp and get their grievances resolved, so that maximum publicity should be done. Even all the sub-centres should try to inform each such consumer of their respective area about the Samadhan camp through some means.

The Energy Minister has also appealed to all the consumers to get their electricity related problems resolved by visiting their respective sub-centres at the earliest, so that they do not have to visit the power offices again and again in the coming time. He said that keeping in view the public interest, the timings of the Samadhan camps to be organized during Vidyut Samadhan Week have been changed from 08 am to 08 pm, so that during these 12 hours, consumers can visit the sub-centres according to their convenience. Be able to solve your problem. The Energy Minister congratulated and congratulated all the officers/employees of the Electricity Department for completing this noble work of public interest with diligence.
