Lucknow: Addressing the media at Shakti Bhavan, Urban Development and Energy Minister AK Sharma said that with the blessings of President Draupadi Murmu, guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and efficient leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit-2023 and G-20 conference were successfully organized in Agra and Lucknow in the state.
The Global Investors Summit has proved to be very historic and unexpected for the development of the state. This has had unexpected results. A total investment of Rs 33.50 lakh crore has come in GIS for development in various sectors. In this too, maximum investment proposals have been received in the field of energy and new energy.
AK Sharma said that thousands of investors, industrialists, businessmen from India and abroad participated in the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 and representatives of their companies signed more than 19 thousand MoUs with the state.
Including energy and new energy Received maximum investment from the state. City development got fifth place in the state in getting investment. Including urban development, energy and new energy, a total investment proposal of more than Rs 10 lakh crore was received.
He said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, nodal officers have been appointed in the Department of Energy, New Energy and Urban Development to get the investment on the ground. Separate nodal officers have been appointed for each project. Along with this, instructions have also been given to maintain constant contact with the investors and cooperate with them. They should not face any kind of problem.
AK Sharma said that Governor of the State, Anandiben Patel has also mentioned about the ongoing Global City Campaign in the State in her joint address to both the Houses. In his praise, he said that the 100-day Global Cities Campaign has brought about a change in the cities and is yielding better results. He said that the 100-day Global Cities campaign was launched by the Urban Development Department in all the 762 urban bodies of the state in the month of January, so that the state’s cities and their management and cleanliness could be made global level, so that the visitors here should experience a different aesthetic sense and our city can also impress the visitors.
He said that dignitaries and representatives who attended the GIS conference and G-20 meetings held in the state have also appreciated the arrangement, cleanliness and beauty of the place. The officials of the Government of India have also said in their praise that Uttar Pradesh has brought laurels to the country in the world with its better system. Due to this praise, a global image of the state has also emerged, which will be benefited in the development of the state.
He said that our objective of running the G Cities campaign has been successful. We have been praised globally. Going forward, it will be our endeavor that the visitors here have a different experience and our city can also impress the visitors.
Sharma said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, he had visited Siddharth Nagar district last week as the minister in charge, there too there was a lot of enthusiasm regarding the investment of GIS. There is a lot of eagerness and enthusiasm for investment in backward districts like Siddharth Nagar. This investment proposal in GIS will give a lot of momentum to the development and construction of infrastructure in the state. Along with this, the resolution of the Chief Minister to make the state’s economy 01 trillion dollar and the Honorable Prime Minister’s resolution to make the country’s economy 05 trillion dollar economy will be fulfilled. Along with this, India will also become a developed nation in 100 years of independence.
