Country will always be indebted to Sachindranath Sanyal for what he did for India: CM Yogi

Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of the Sanyal memorial on Tuesday evening to keep alive the memories of freedom struggle hero Sachindranath Sanyal associated with Gorakhpur and to make him a source of inspiration for the present and future generations.

On this occasion, he said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double engine government is engaged in preserving and honoring the memories of the revolutionaries of the freedom movement.

In a function organized at the Bharat Sevashram in Daudpur, the Chief Minister discussed the personality of immortal fighter Sachindranath Sanyal and while saluting his pious memory, said that Sanyal ji was punished with black water twice by the British Government. He left his physical body at Gorakhpur. The country will always be grateful for his role and important contribution in the freedom struggle. CM Yogi said that under the leadership of PM Modi, many works were done to honor the immortal fighters and are being done continuously.

He said that a memorial has been built in the district jail in the name of Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, the hero of the freedom movement in Gorakhpur. In the memory of the martyr Ashfaqullah Khan, the Gorakhpur Zoo has been named after him. In this sequence, the memorial of Sachindranath Sanyal is being built. This memorial will develop into a center of inspiration. The Chief Minister also inspected the site selected for the memorial and gave necessary instructions.

After accepting the proposal of Rs.3 crore 6 lakh 47 thousand to develop Sanyal’s house as a tourist center on behalf of the Sachindranath Yogi government, Rs 1 crore 53 lakh has also been released. The construction work will be done by the Uttar Pradesh Projects Corporation Limited. A statue of Sanyal will also be installed in the memorial. The memorial will have all necessary arrangements for the convenience of the tourists.

At the Bharat Sevashram, the Chief Minister visited the idol of Maa Bhagwati installed on Vasantik Navratri and worshiped her with rituals. On this occasion, while saluting the founder of Bharat Sevashram, Swami Pranavananda, discussed his contribution in the field of religion, culture and human service.

CM flagged off municipal waste collection vehicles

The Chief Minister flagged off 119 garbage collection vehicles of the Municipal Corporation near Bharat Sevashram on Wednesday evening. These vehicles have been bought by spending 11 crores.
