Lucknow: The Hunar Haat organized at the Awadh Shilp Gram has attracted massive footfall as people turned up in large numbers to experience talent from across the country in full splendour. The event showcased products made by artisans and craftsmen across India.
The Haat had several ODOP products which were displayed. Products made under UP government’s “One District One Product” (ODOP) like chikankari, Bhadohi carpets and Gorakhpur’s famed terracotta handicraft grabbed eyeballs.
The “Hunar Haat” is being organized by the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs, for the first time. This year’s theme is “Vocal for Local” and has 500 artisans and craftsmen from several states participating.
Products like Ajrakh textiles, art metalwares, Bagh prints, Bandhej, Bastar art, herbal products, etc are on full display. Handloom textiles, lac bangles, Rampuri violins and iron toys are also on sale.
