Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Cycling Association Chairman Dhirendra Singh Sachan (IAS) travelled from Lucknow to Kanpur by cycling to give the message of taking forward the campaign to stay healthy by cycling at least one day a week.
Dhirendra Singh Sachan, Special Secretary in the Government of Uttar Pradesh (Associate Vice President of Cycling Federation of India and Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association) started cycling from Lucknow on Sunday. Dhirendra Singh Sachan covered 72.10 km by cycling mountain bike. It reached Kanpur covering the distance in 3 hrs 37 min 18 sec.
Giving information about this, Anand Kishore Pandey, Co-Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association and Senior Vice President of Lucknow Cycling Association, said that Dhirendra Singh Sachan covered this distance by cycling at a speed of 1990 kmph and appealed to the citizens in the state.
On this occasion, Dhirendra Singh Sachan further said that cycling should be done by boys, girls, men and women of all ages by taking some time out. It is a panacea for keeping the body healthy. This will also reduce pollution. If there is cleanliness in the environment then we will all be healthy.
