Dabang Daredevils begin their campaign with a win

Lucknow: National Amateur Golf League champions Dabang Daredevils began their campaign at the Adani Lucknow Golf League 2023 with a comfortable 4-1 win over Speed Chargers here at the Lucknow Golf Club. Friday’s action saw all the Group B teams kick start their campaign.

In the second match of the day, Shalimar Par Masters and IPL Warriors played out the first tied match of the Adani Lucknow Golf League 2023 as they shared 2.5 points each. The final match of the day, PR x JO – The Royals lost to Ekana Titans in another tightly contested match.

The start for Dabang Daredevils on the day was Dharmendra Singh who turned his game on its head after being 4 down after 11 holes. He won the 6 out of the final 7 holes to wrap it up 2 UP. Team owner Rajesh Narain won the only point for the Speed Chargers.

The Shalimar Par Masters – IPL Warriors match couldn’t be more evenly fought as both singles games finished 4&2 with each side winning one each and two Fourball games finishing 3&2 in either side’s favour. It all hinged on the result of the final game to separate the teams however neither team gave the other an inch to finish all square.

In the final match, Ekana Titans started fast out of the blocks and at one point leading all 5 games. However with games going up and down, PR x JO – The Royals made steady inroads but could complete a comeback. The star for Ekana Titans was Devender Singh who registered the biggest win yet of 8&7.
