Exhibitors from all across India will showcase their handicraft and lifestyle product under one roof
Lucknow: The much awaited two day Dastkaarii Handicraft and Lifestyle Exhibition Season 8 will begin from March 13 at The Regnant Hotel, Nirala Nagar. Here Lucknowites will get a chance to buy selected lifestyle, fashion and handcrafted items from different regions of India under one roof. Ms Sanyukta Bhatia, Mayor Lucknow, will be the Chief Guest for the exhibition and the inauguration will take place at 1 PM.
Organized by Dastkaarii – The Handicraft Studio, Handicraft and Lifestyle Exhibition Season 8 will display numerous unique products in various lifestyle and handicraft segments ranging from handcrafted apparels, home decor, furnishings and wooden craft. In the exhibition participants are coming from all across India. Visitors will have a chance to feel the magic of handicrafts and handlooms from various cities of Rajasthan, Gujarat and UP.
Artisan products directly in your hands
The fourth generation artisan Dr. Sarmin Khan will also be participating. Hailing from Kutch, Gujarat, Dr. Khan will showcase and sell Azrakh and Bandhani products. Apart from her, Shiv Shakti Artisans and Banaras Handloom Silk Co-operative Society from Banaras will exhibit and sell Banarasi sarees, dupattas, clothes and wooden crafts. You can also enjoy chikankari, jute crafts and Raisen art. You can also avail tarot readings, chakra readings, crystal therapy etc.
Live Artisan Gallery
For its Season 8, Dastkaarii has specially setup a Live Artisan Gallery where
visitors will have a chance to witness live demonstration of Block Printing Technique and Kantha Embroidery from skilled artisans of Rajasthan.
Help a Nobel Cause
According to Richa Gupta, Founder and Director of Dastkaarii, the exhibition feels privileged to be associated with charitable NGOs for its social cause. The visitors will also be able to purchase special handicraft products made by Eeshwar Child Welfare Foundation, an NGO working for the support of mothers of cancer patient kids. You can also help Empower Skill Foundation by purchasing handmade jewellery from Varsha’s Creations, as it is donating a portion of its profit to ESF. With the help of the team of 160+ members ESF is working for 100+ old age people, animal welfare and 500+ underprivileged kids.
