Delhi Capitals finds it hard to crack the Shami jigsaw

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammed Shami hammered Delhi Capitals  at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Shami gave initial shocks to Delhi, from which this team could never emerge and could score less. With this, Shami did a wonderful job. Under the leadership of Shami, the Gujarat bowlers showed a brilliant game and stopped Delhi for 130 runs after losing eight wickets in 20 overs. Shami took the maximum four wickets for Gujarat. Apart from him, Mohit Sharma took two wickets and Rashid Khan took one wicket.

Shami sent Phil Salt to the pavilion on the very first ball of the match. After this, Shami started the process of taking wickets, then he troubled Delhi a lot. The Delhi team had lost their five wickets for 28 runs in six overs of the powerplay.

Out of these six overs, Shami bowled three overs and took four wickets for seven runs. With this, Shami has also become the highest wicket-taker in IPL this season. This season, he now has a total of 12 wickets in the Powerplay.

In such a situation, Mohammad Siraj is at number two, who has taken eight wickets in the powerplay this season. Trent Boult of Rajasthan Royals is at number three. He has taken seven wickets. Arshdeep Singh’s name is at number four.

He has taken six wickets in the powerplay. Shami achieved another feat in this match. He has reached number one in the list of bowlers with the most wickets this season and has been successful in winning the Purple Cap. Shami now has a total of 17 wickets in nine matches.

Shami has given his best performance of this season in this match. So far this season, there have been only two matches in which Shami has not been able to take wickets.
