Departmental review meeting presided over by PWD Minister Jitin Prasada
Lucknow: Under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh’s Public Works Minister, Jitin Prasada, a departmental review was organized at Tathagat Auditorium, located at the Public Works Department Headquarters. In the review meeting, a comprehensive discussion was held regarding the designation/structural amendment etc. of the Chief Engineers/Superintending Engineers at the headquarters. Along with this, discussions were also held on increasing work efficiency and capacity in the Public Works Department.
The Public Works Minister said in the review meeting that there is a need to restructure the Public Works Department as per the requirement. To increase work efficiency and capacity in the department, strategy should be worked out keeping in mind the short term, medium term and long term goals. He said that it is very important to provide technical training to the departmental engineers to increase the working efficiency of the department.
Jitin Prasada said that the department should be restructured in such a way that by making full use of the available efficiency of the department, quality roads can be constructed for the general public with economy and time boundness, so that the Public Works Department can be made the best in the country. department can be created.
In the construction works being done by the department, special attention has to be given to the quality along with time-boundness so that we can provide world-class roads.
Principal Secretary Public Works Department Ajay Singh Chauhan assured the minister in the review meeting that the instructions given by him would be ensured in letter and spirit.
