Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held bilateral talks with Netherlands Government for investment in Uttar Pradesh
Netherlands delegation will come to Uttar Pradesh before the Global Investors Summit-2023.
Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya along with Higher Education and IT Minister Yogendra Upadhyay and the delegation held bilateral talks with the Government of Netherlands regarding participation in the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit-2023 and investment in Uttar Pradesh.
He stressed the need to further strengthen the foreign economic relations of the Netherlands with India. In bilateral talks, the Deputy Chief Minister gave information about the immense possibilities of investment in agriculture, food processing and dairy and other sectors in Uttar Pradesh and the appropriate environment and other special features of Uttar Pradesh for investment by the government and cooperation and partnership for investment in these areas.
During the talks, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is a state rich in geographical and cultural diversities. Food processing is the link between agriculture and industry. Food processing in India accounts for about 10% of the output, with a minimum of 2% for fruits and vegetables and a maximum of 35% for milk.
The third level on food processing in Uttar Pradesh is 6 percent. The state also has the maximum employment potential in the food processing sector after the IT sector. The development of these industries will not only lead to the development of the food processing sector but also the development of other related industries and service sector. There is an urgent need to increase the food processing level of fruits and vegetables. Due to which maximum export level products can be prepared and exported from the state.
It was told that on the initiative and request of the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Keshav Prasad Maurya, before the Global Investors Summit-2023 in Uttar Pradesh, the Netherlands agreed to send a delegation of its government to Uttar Pradesh and investment possibilities would be explored here and investment projects would be planned.
The delegation will visit here and will also participate in the committee to be organized after that.
