Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya calls for starting preparation for Mahakumbh 2025 in top gear mode
Prayagraj: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a review meeting regarding the preparations being made by the concerned departments to organize Mahakumbh-2025 in a divine and grand manner in ICCC auditorium located at Prayagraj Mela Authority. The Deputy Chief Minister gave directions to start the construction work of four lane road connecting to the airport at the earliest. He directed the civil airport to prepare an action plan and submit a proposal regarding making it an international airport.
In the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the officers of the departments and executive agencies that whatever projects are proposed, work should be done by making such an action plan that they should be completed before Mahakumbh-2025. He has also asked to keep in mind the future requirements of Prayagraj while preparing the action plan of all the plans/projects.
In view of Mahakumbh-2025, the Deputy Chief Minister has directed to prepare a proposal for carrying out the work of widening, strengthening of roads in an area of about 80 km around Prayagraj. Along with this, he directed to make a proposal for proper arrangement of roads, streets and drainage inside the city.
In the works related to Kumbh, their opinion should be taken from the public representatives and whatever plan they prepare, they should also be made aware of it. Expressing strong displeasure over the delay in the construction of ROB to be built in Jasra, he has directed to start the work at the earliest.
In this sequence, in the works to be done by the Bridge Corporation, the overbridge to be built at Chafatka, the overbridge to be built near Salori and other overbridges, has been directed to be completed without any delay. He also directed to get the works of Ring Road and Ramvan Gaman Marg done on top priority. The Deputy Chief Minister has asked Niranjan Dat bridge to prepare a proposal for the construction of another railway overbridge, marking a suitable place in the middle of the railway overbridge near the water tank.
The Deputy Chief Minister has directed that action should be taken on top priority for compulsorily connecting the sewer line with STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) by tapping 100 percent drains under the sewerage disposal program by Namami Gange. He has directed to complete the construction work of STPs at Phaphamau, Naini and Jhunsi at the earliest. The Deputy Chief Minister has directed to prepare and submit a proposal for setting up of 100 bedded hospitals in Jhunsi, Naini and Phaphamau in view of Mahakumbh-2025. He has also asked to make proposals related to development work in the expanded areas of the municipal limits.
While reviewing the works to be done by the tourism department, the Deputy Chief Minister has directed to take action by making proposals for the development and beautification of Akshayvat, Nagvasuki Temple, Dashashwamedh Ghat, Alop Shankari Devi, Lalita Devi and Barah Madhav Marg. He directed to take necessary action to ensure better facilities including passenger facility, drinking water, toilets and other facilities on the 12 Madhav Circuit route. He has asked to take action on the proposal to construct nine pucca ghats including Dashashwamedh Ghat, Saraswati Ghat, Qila Ghat, Nauak Ghat, Gaughat, Balua Ghat in view of Maha Kumbh.
He has directed that Shringverpur Dham be further developed as well as barricading should be put in deep water in the Ganges river at the Ghat there, so that no incident happens there. In the action plans being made to organize Mahakumbh-2025 in a divine and grand manner, a team of 20 to 25 experts/scholarly people from different fields have been asked to take their suggestions. The Deputy Chief Minister has asked for action to be taken on the proposal to set up Digital Kumbh Museum in April. He said this would come as an achievement for Prayagraj.
