Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has instructed the officials of the Rural Development Department that there should be no overlapping or duplication in any scheme. Keshav Prasad Maurya, while appreciating the Prerna Ojas and Balini Scheme of Rural Livelihood Mission, stressed on the need to give maximum publicity to all the schemes. He said that workshops should be organized by making time table for better implementation of the schemes. Keshav Prasad Maurya was reviewing the implementation of various schemes of Rural Livelihood Mission at Sugarcane Institute auditorium.
Giving information about the “Prerna Ojas” scheme in the review meeting, it was told that solar lamps have been provided by Prerna Ojas Company to the students of government recognized schools. 2225 solar group members were trained for solar lamp assembly and after technical training a large number of solar lamps were assembled. Rs.12/per lamp was provided to the group members relative to solar lamp assembly. In this way monthly honorarium of Rs.06500 to Rs.7500 was received per group member. The availability of about 28 lakh solar lamps was ensured to the students while doing publicity in coordination with the teachers.
Giving information about Balini Milk Production Company value chain, it was informed that 1 lakh 22 thousand liters of milk collection is being done by women members in Bundelkhand through Balini Milk Producer Company and till now earning a dividend of Rs.13.34 crores while doing a business of Rs.245 crores. Action is being taken to operate 4 more such companies. This milk is supplied to Mother Dairy. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that in this way ambitious and women companies moving towards self-reliance and self-reliance should be encouraged and more and more companies should be established in a meaningful and positive way make efforts.
