Divisional Commissioner Bareilly inspects various under construction projects under Smart City Scheme

Bareilly: Divisional Commissioner Sanyukta Samaddar reviews developments under the Smart City Scheme, beautification of Clock Tower, District Hospital Road near Ghantaghar, Major Road Phase 2, Road No. 6, Road No. 10, Sanjay Community Hall, pond near Sanjay Community Hall. Inspected beautification, musical fountion built in Gandhi Udyan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Lodge, internal road built in Rampur Garden etc.
Expressing displeasure over the non-construction of drains on the side of the road near Clock Tower, the Divisional Commissioner directed the executive body to make a drain at the earliest, so that the drainage of water remains intact. She also inspected the She Lodge built near Ghantaghar and directed that arrangements for lighting etc. should be maintained in Lodge. After this, the Divisional Commissioner checked Major Road Phase 2, Road No. 6, Chaupula to Outpost.
After digging the road and footwalk and road near the police line up to the intersection, she saw the stretch of the road and instructed the concerned executive organization to complete the remaining work of the road in this month. After this, the Divisional Commissioner inspected the Sanjay Community Hall and the pond. Instructions were given to clean the water in the pond. The Municipal Commissioner informed that 99 percent work of the pond has been completed, the remaining work will be completed.
The Divisional Commissioner inspected the smart toilets built there. She directed that water, light and toilets should be maintained. She also saw the STP plant treating the dirty water of the old drain and instructed that the STP plant should be started soon and instructed to show it at the time of commissioning.
After this, the Divisional Commissioner inspected the Museum Foundation built in Gandhi Udyan. Expressing displeasure over the designer not being present during the inspection, she directed the executive body to install seating arrangement and small tables at the museum foundation site. She also saw the maze which was found in working condition.
While inspecting the car parking near Gandhi Udyan, she instructed that the car should not be parked here and there, the car should be parked only at the parking spot, so that the commuters should not face any problem. After this, the Divisional Commissioner checked the quality of the road near Major Road Phase 2, Road No. 10 Biyabani intersection and expressed displeasure over the non-levelling of the road and instructed that the road should be corrected in a systematic manner.
After this, the Divisional Commissioner also inspected the footwalk being built on the side of the road leading to Cantt near Rohilla Hotel and checked the material used in the footwalk. She directed the executing organization that the design of the footwalk should be made available along with the complete estimate and map. She directed the Municipal Commissioner that the remaining construction works being done under Smart City should be completed soon.
During the on-site inspection, the drawing and design was tested during the investigation on Road No.-24 (Gandhi Udyan to UPPCL Old Power House total length 420 m) RHS side CH:-0+150, in which the width of the side track on the right side of the road was more, in which instructions were given to revise the drawing and calculation by increasing the road by 1 meter and the savings should be assessed in this project.
During the inspection, the width of the road on road no.-7 was found to be 10.40 m as per the given drawing scope and also on road no.-1, 2A, 8, 13A, 14 site visit was also done.
During the inspection, Municipal Commissioner Nidhi Gupta Vats, Additional Municipal Commissioner Sunil Kumar, Chief Engineer Municipal Corporation VK Singh, officers of Smart City and executive organization were present.
