Divisional Commissioner reviews work done under Lucknow Smart city initiative
Lucknow: Under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob, the review meeting regarding the payment of the works done by Lucknow Smart City was held in the Commissioner Auditorium office.
The Divisional Commissioner obtained information from the concerned officers one by one about all the works related to the payment of the works going on by the Smart City.
Expressing her displeasure over why the payment has not been made till now after the completion of Phase One of Ameeruddaulah, while giving instructions to the concerned officials, she said that the payment should be made today only if the work is completed by the contractor and those works are completed. If I do not have any objection, the payment should be made on time without any hesitation.
While giving strict instructions to the concerned officers, the Divisional Commissioner said that if the payment related pending papers are not presented before us today, the concerned officer will be suspended. Payment of vendors should not be made without delay, files should not be kept pending unnecessarily.
During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner said that the officials concerned should regularly check the quality of the works being carried out by the Smart City, as per the standard, there should not be any laxity in it, and she discussed with the contractor and resolved their problems. Heard them seriously and instructed the concerned authorities to solve their problems immediately.
On this occasion, Municipal Commissioner Indrajit Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Singh along with concerned officers and contractors were also present.
