Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob calls for swift measures to make GIS 2023 a resounding success

Lucknow: Under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob, an important meeting regarding the preparations for the Global Investor Summit was organized at Commissioner’s Auditorium. In the meeting, the preparations being made by the concerned departments including Urban Development, Housing and Development Council, Public Works, Energy, Home, Fire Fighting, Culture, Lucknow City Administration, LDA, Tourism were thoroughly reviewed.

In the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner instructed the officials of the Municipal Corporation to increase the number of mobile toilets. She directed that arrangement of mobile toilets, adequate number of water tankers in the parking area, cleanliness should be ensured well in advance. She ensured uninterrupted power supply in VVIP lounges on the event, fixed open/loose electrical wires in Sthal Vrindavan Yojna, Avadh Shilpgram Tent City area, Shaheedpath, and ensured uninterrupted power supply during the painting preparation of electric polo. Instructions were given to appoint a nodal officer to supervise the works of the Electricity Department.

The Divisional Commissioner ordered the removal of illegal hoardings on the roadside of Vrindavan scheme, cleaning of roads in Tent City area, garbage disposal and fogging work to be done daily, beautification and beautification of entrances, footpath and beautification of adjacent green belt. Instructions were given to the officials of the concerned department to stop the roaming of animals, arrangement of toilets for the workers of tent city and providing additional land for vehicle parking.

During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner directed the tourism department to organize beautification, cultural programs etc. in view of the arrival of foreign guests in the tent city, arrangements for transportation from the tent city to the summit venue and to arrange for farm-trips at major tourist places of the city. The Divisional Commissioner instructed the police department to understand and comply with the VIP route, car pass, delegate category, prepare all parking plans, publish route diversion and parking information in public, as well as increase regular patrolling on Shaheedpath.

After this, the Divisional Commissioner gave strict instructions to the concerned officer of NHAI and said that  railing to be installed on the Shaheed Path is ready. Instructions were given to increase the manpower for the installation of railings.

During the meeting, he gave instructions to the concerned officials to set up helpdesks, availability of electronic buses, availability of rooms in identified hotels of the city. District Magistrate  Suryapal Gangwar, Special Secretary to Chief Minister  Prathamesh Singh, Additional Commissioner Administration  Ranvijay Yadav, Vice President LDA Dr. Indramani Tripathi, Municipal Commissioner  Indrajit Singh and officers of related departments were present in the meeting.
