Doctors’ Felicitation Ceremony at Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow

Lucknow: To appreciate and compliment the extremely important role that doctors, medical professionals, and paramedics have played during the last two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow and Lucknow Management Association on Thursday organized a Doctors’ Felicitation Ceremony at the institute’s campus.

Senior representatives from King George Medical University, Lucknow; Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow; Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow; Medanta Hospital, Lucknow; Appollo Hospitals, Lucknow; Sahara Hospital, Lucknow; and Chandan hospital, Lucknow were invited to the felicitation ceremony.

Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow said “We feel privileged and honoured to find an opportunity to felicitate the saviors of life. Today is the day where we can get a constellation of stars together in one place. Covid came as a shocker and disrupted many lives, but the doctors came to the frontline and fought with steel”.

Jaipuria Lucknow cultural team performed a musical act as a tribute to the relentless efforts and sacrifices made by the doctors, medical professionals, and paramedics during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nominations from Jan KalyanSamiti, some students and alumni of Jaipuria Institute of Management, who were covid survivors were invited to share their experiences during these tough times. They thanked the doctors’ community for saving the lives of millions.

During the felicitation ceremony Lt. Gen. (Dr) BipinPuri, Vice-Chancellor, King George Medical University, Lucknow said “We are really touched by this kind welcoming gesture.All I can say is we do our job. When we see our patients it’s our duty to care for them. I was touched by the cultural act presented by the students depicting the challenges that are part of a Doctor’s life.”

Dr. Sonia Nityanand, Director DR.Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow said “The organizing team, this is to thank you all and I am really humbled by this beautiful act and gesture. When functions like these are held it really touches you and you feel humbled. I take pride in expressing my sincere gratitude in thanking all the paramedical staff of SGPGI and RML who have taken responsibility to cure all the patients. ”

Dr. Surya Kant, Professor & Head, King George Medical University, Lucknow said “In any situation, leadership plays a very important role. When COVID was at its peak, it was important to look into these critical factors, medical supplies, cleanliness, and feedback. Time fades away but what will remain in history will be the selfless devotion of the Doctors and the heroes who lost their lives while saving others”.

Dr. Rakesh Kapoor, Medical Director & Director – Division of Urology & Kidney Transplant at Medanta Lucknow said “Paramedical staff emerged as Godly beings in these tough times. Doctors managed to save others with their self-health deteriorating in the process. “.

Corona survivor Mr. B.D. Misra (Retd.AGM), President, Vivek Khand-3, Janklyansamiti told his story of battle with Covid-19. He thanked the doctors’ community for saving his life.

Dr. Sushil Kumar Singh, Consultant- Critical care at Apollo Hospital, Lucknow said “Whenever a patient enters a hospital, he carries an expectation for which he looks upon us. It was challenging for us to prepare ourselves for the cause. But with efficient teamwork and leadership, we made it through.”

“COVID time has been really challenging for the doctors’ fraternity as well. We should feel very fortunate that we are here today. With immense support from the senior doctors, we sailed through the adversity with ease”, said Dr. Suruchi Shukla, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, KGMU Lucknow

Prof(Dr) BN Singh, President MahakalyanSamiti, and Dr. Raghvendra Shukla General Secretary, MahakalyanSamiti appreciated the initiative by Jaipuria Institute of Management and Lucknow Management Association.

Delivering the vote of thanks Mr. PK Dwivedi, Vice President, Lucknow Management Association said that “This is an event of expressing our gratefulness for the frontline medical fraternity. It is a moment of pleasure to be present at the moment. We have been involved in serving society to bring a smile to millions of hopeful faces”.
