Doctors should not prescribe pills from the market: Brajesh Pathak to district hospitals
Jhansi: Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Brajesh Pathak reached Jhansi. Here he inspected the district hospital. During this, Brajesh Pathak also inquired about the condition of the patients admitted in the hospital. During this, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak warned all the doctors of UP and said in terse tone that if any doctor prescribes medicines from outside, strict action will be taken against him. Not only this, Brajesh Pathak also directed to fill the vacant posts in the district hospital.
It may be mentioned that after inaugurating the Advocates’ Chamber located at Kachari Square here, while addressing the reporters, in response to the question asked by the doctors of government hospitals about the increasing trend of prescribing medicines from the market citing shortage of medicines in the hospital, the Deputy Chief Minister in a blunt tone. Said, “No doctor has the right to prescribe even a single pill from the market, if it is prescribed, strict action will be taken. All medicines are available, extra funds are available. We request all the doctors not to prescribe medicines even for 25 paise from the market, to provide free medicines to all as per the policies of the government.
Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that health facilities are being continuously improved. This is a reformative process, ever since we got the work in the state, continuous improvement is taking place. Whatever shortcomings are still remaining will be removed. Will provide better and better health services. In response to a question regarding the civic body elections, he said that the party has sounded the bugle for the civic body elections. We are holding a harmony conference, an effective voter conference. Conferences were held in Kanpur, Lalitpur and now going to do it here. Jhansi is an important district of Bundelkhand and work is being done to implement all the schemes of the government here, the shortcomings will be removed.
