Dr. Ammar Rizvi appreciates steps taken under Lt Guv Manoj Sinha in J&K for COVID care

Lucknow: As someone known to speak his mind aloud, Dr. Ammar Rizvi, the former Acting Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and National President, All India Minorities Forum for Democracy is known as someone who does not mince his words. In a press statement to Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Jammu & Kashmir, he has sent his commendations for the initiative to start a 5 bedded COVID centre in every Panchayat of Jammu & Kashmir. In his letter he has welcomed the move under Lt Guv Sinha.

Dr. Rizvi said that he congratulated the candidates and other people’s representatives for winning the elections for local bodies in Sitapur district on May 08 and asked each of them to construct a room of 40 X 25 in their own gram panchayat with 5 beds in it. A setup with oxygen cylinders and primary health facilities on every bed.

Dr. Rizvi informed that the same has been intimated to the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and  Rural Development Minister Uttar Pradesh  in writing. The call pertains to the Gram Panchayats.

He said that the village level patients are suffering a lot due to the COVID epidemic. Due to lack of a COVID Center at the village level, it is too late for the patients to reach the city for treatment, which makes it difficult for them to save their lives. He said that the COVID epidemic can be prevented to a large extent if a plan for the establishment of the 5 Bedded COVID Care Centre is implemented at the village level. His comments come at a time when there are reports that during the second wave, COVID is spreading in the rural heartland like wildfire.
