Although, there is no such post in UP as of now, but due to DS Chauhan being very close to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it is being said that DS Chauhan will be adjusted by creating the post of State Security Advisor. If Chauhan becomes the state security advisor, he will get the facilities of ministerial status. The State Security Advisor will give all kinds of intelligence information to the CM along with the internal and external threats of the state. Along with issues related to the challenges of state borders, activities of terrorist organizations, mafia system and law and order, will work to coordinate with the investigation agencies of other states.
