Dr. Roshan Jacob bags top honour for “Mine Mitra” initiative
Jammu: In recognition of her efforts to improve the working of the mining sector in the state, Divisional Commissioner, Dr. Roshan Jacob has been rewarded at the national level. The acknowledgement has come as a major sense of pride for the state of Uttar Pradesh. National e-Governance Awards 2022 (Gold) for Excellence in Government Process Re-engineering for Digital Transformation by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India was given to Dr. Roshan Jacob in capacity as Director, Department of Geology and Mining, Uttar Pradesh for developing and implementing “Mine Mitra” digital system in the mining process.
This Gold Award was presented to Dr. Roshan Jacob and her team on the first day of the 25th National Conference on e-Governance held from 26 to 27 November 2022 at Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Jammu-Kashmir. A cheque of Rs 5 lakh and a memento were given along with the award. This award was given by Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh.
On this occasion, Special Secretary Uttar Pradesh Government/Additional Director, Mining Vipin Jain, Joint Director Mining Department, Uttar Pradesh SK Singh, VK Gupta of UPDESCO and concerned representatives/high officials of other provinces were present.
