Dr. Roshan Jacob reviews preparations for Civic Polls at Smriti Upvan

Lucknow: Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob reached Smriti Upvan Park in view of Municipal Election-2023, taking stock of the preparations for the departure of polling parties and giving necessary guidelines to the concerned officials present.

Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob said that special care should be taken of the polling personnel.

Arrangement of vehicles for the movement of polling personnel, availability of medicines and drinking water should be provided keeping basic facilities on priority.

During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner obtained information from the concerned officer that arrangements for fire system, medical health pandal, drinking water, food court and toilets have been made well. It was informed by the concerned officer that all arrangements have been made and 750 vehicles have been deployed for the departure of polling parties. Instructing the concerned officer, he said that fogging and spraying should be done in Smriti Upvan Park.

After that, Divisional Commissioner Ramabai reached, inspected the strong room/counting room and took stock of all the preparations. She said that the allowance system should be kept good. So that the polling personnel don’t face any kind of problem, lighting and carpet arrangements should be done properly and the lighting should also be checked once again. On seeing dirt in the campus, instructions were given to the concerned for immediate cleaning and removal of garbage piles.
