Education, healthy existence of women a priority area: Anandiben Patel
Hathras: State Governor Anandiben Patel was involved in various programs during her one-day visit to Hathras district. She inspected Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School and also visited residential old age home . After inspecting Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls’ School, Tuksan, she instructed the posted teachers to do quality teaching work and to conduct regular health check-ups of the studying girl students from time to time.
Giving information during the inspection, the Basic Education Officer said that a total of 100 girl students are registered in Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School, out of which 58 are registered in class 6, 30 in class 7 and 12 in class 8.
She informed that food is being provided to the girl students as per the prescribed menu. From time to time, health check-up camps are organized for the girl students. During the inspection, she first inaugurated and inaugurated the computer room by cutting the ribbon.
After this, she reached class 7 and interacted with the girl students. During the talks, she informed about the food items available in breakfast, lunch and dinner. She inquired from the girl students which subject is being taught by which teacher. She checked the art copy of a girl student.
She instructed the Basic Education Officer to conduct regular health check-up of the girl students studying and to get hemoglobin checked. So that it can be known whether any student is in the category of malnourished. If there is a deficiency of hemoglobin in a girl student, after consulting the doctor, instructions were given to provide necessary medicines and nutritious food. She informed about the lesser number of girl students studying in class 8 as compared to the number of girl students registered in class 6 in the past.
She said to make sure that no girl student drops out, if there is any such problem then talk to their parents and make sure to complete their education. The main objective is to provide better education to the girl students as per the intention of the government.
All-round development of girl students is possible only with better education. After this he inspected the dining hall, kitchen, store room and mid-day meal. Governor got a group photo done with the girl students of the residential school and blessed all the girl students and wished them a bright future.
The Governor reached Nagla Bhus, Meetai Hathras, an aided residential old age home run by the Social Welfare Department, Lucknow, UP and distributed fruits after meeting and talking to the elderly people present.
The District Social Welfare Officer said that at present there are 65 inmates, including 25 women and 40 men, living in the old age home. The Governor said that instructions were given to make arrangements for adequate food etc. for the old age people in the old age homes and to provide necessary medicines to them from time to time by conducting regular health check-ups by the doctors. While giving information to the old age home, Governor said that an LED TV, washing machine, inverter 2 KV with 4 batteries have been made available to the old age home. Through which you can enjoy entertainment, yoga and cultural, religious programs. Instructing the Social Welfare Officer, she said that the material provided should be put to good use. On this occasion, along with all the senior and concerned officers of the district, public representatives were also present.
