Effective changes taking place in the Agriculture sector of Uttar Pradesh: Manoj Kumar Singh
Lucknow: State’s Agriculture Production Commissioner Manoj Kumar Singh participated in the World Water Week 2022 organized in Stockholm, Sweden and during this he expressed his views on the water reforms of the state. He gave a presentation on water impact in agriculture sector of Uttar Pradesh. He placed before the world on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh the effective changes taking place in the agricultural sector of Uttar Pradesh with the use of new technology.
Referring to the discussion, Singh said that there is a huge potential for investment in the fields of mechanization, financial, digital and technology transfer in the agriculture sector of Uttar Pradesh. He also invited the global community to invest in the agriculture sector in Uttar Pradesh.
During the ‘World Water Week 2022’ program Manoj Kumar Singh said that effective changes are taking place in the agriculture sector of Uttar Pradesh under the able leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Giving a presentation on the topic “Transformational water impact through financial innovations”, he apprised the global forum about the multi-faceted changes brought about by the use of new technology in the agriculture sector of the state. During this, the questions of the representatives present were also answered.
He said, “Innovative use of drip irrigation system, the most efficient water and nutrient distribution system for growing crops, is being done in the agricultural sector of Uttar Pradesh. Soil health card, organic farming, organic increase in soil
Natural farming is being promoted. He also put the effective work being done for water harvesting and conservation in Uttar Pradesh on the world stage through presentation.
It is noteworthy that from 23 August to 01 September, World Water Week 2022 is being organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) in Stockholm, Sweden. World Water Week highlights global water challenges and focuses on the key changes we need to make to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and reduce carbon emissions.
